Listening better, paying attention to what is being said,
and showing respect to what is being said are some of the best ways to be able
to develop good relationships with others. Listening is an art and is developed through your ability to
focus on the other person and to make them a priority at that moment. When
someone tells their story, really listen before you tell yours.

ABOUT FITTING IN
Something I hear fairly often, and on an ongoing basis, is; "I am a misfit," "I just don't feel like I fit in with anyone," or, "I don't like the same things they do."
The fix is for you to make changes. Find the people and/or groups that feel like a 'fit' for who you are. If you feel uncomfortable with the people around you, then change the people you are around.
It is not the group making you feel uncomfortable, it is you. Without you changing, you will reflect the group making you feel uncomfortable. You will appear to other people to be the same as the people with whom you feel uncomfortable.
